Neil Yahn is a partner with the law firm of James, Smith, Dietterick and Connelly, LLP, in Hershey, Pennsylvania and serves on the faculty at Lebanon Valley College and Villanova University as an adjunct professor where he teaches Business Law, Individual Taxation and Corporate and Partnership Taxation. Neil primarily concentrates his law practice on income, partnership, corporate and estate tax matters and controversies. To that end, this Website (and www.youtube.com/thetaxjournal) are designed as vehicles that allows Neil to communicate not only with his students on various tax topics, but also clients and other professionals. Neil also writes and lectures extensively on tax planning topics and related matters for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association. Neil is a graduate of the Villanova University School of Law. At Villanova, he earned his Juris Doctorate and Masters in Taxation (LL.M.). Neil supplemented his Masters in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center where he focused on employee benefits, employer plan designs and fiduciary provisions under ERISA. Neil was part of the Rising Star Super Lawyers as it appeared in the Philadelphia Magazine (only 2.5% of all Pennsylvania attorneys are selected under the age of 40 as Rising Stars). Finally, Neil resides in Derry Township with his wife, Kris and two children, Neil Jr., and Taylor.
